Old Favourites

Hey! Hope you’re all well out there in the Blog’O’sphere! Just a quick post really, more to come soon, I cross my heart! I went to a Brighton Rumble gig on Monday night & it was really worth the outing. It was for a band called Los Rizlaz, they were over here for the Hot Rod Hayride & were booked to also come play in Brighton. I hadn’t really heard much of their sound but I think it’s important to go & see bands that rarely tour as you never know if you will ever get to see them live! They were absolutely amazing in their Mexican Wrestler masks! They play raucous rock & roll covers aswell as instrumentals..and I wasn’t dissapointed!

I managed to get a few snaps of my outfit, nothin’ special but something comfy & included a few of my ‘old favourites’ Continue reading

A round up of June

June was a great Month! Every weekend was fun filled. Visits to London for Bethan & Fleur’s Birthday Bash, I attended the opening of the first Dr. Martens store launch ,there was the return of one of my favourtie Mod nights (way back when I wore short dresses & donned a pixie crop!) Mojo 2 Go Go , The Big Itch Big Surf All Dayer, another edition of Tail End Charlie’s and I Deejayed at a new night called Big Badda Boom! I also went to see Gilda on the big screen at the British Film Institute with Sadie & Katie plus inbetween all of that I quit my job in the Boutique & started working for a nice Social PR & Creative Marketing Agency in Brighton!

Here is a round up in pictures ( with a few outfit selfies & things I have purchsed thrown in!)

An interview with Lou Taylor: Fusing pop culture with paper

I had been admiring Lou Taylor’s work online for a while & I decided to drop her an email. Firstly to say how much of a fan of her work I am (sometimes you just gotta let people know!) & secondly to ask whether she would mind meeting up for a chat. After a few emails we met up last week at Small Batch Coffee (neither of us actually sampled the coffee though I had Early Grey & Lou indulged in a Hot Chocolate!)

Lou’s works with paper to create these stunning pieces. With just a scalpel to cut intricate shapes & using layering techniques the outcome is bold, eye catching & quirky. I absolutely love her work!
